Beyonce Giselle Knowles was conceived in Houston, Texas on September 4 in 1981. Her mother was executive secretary in the United States Navy, her father was an agent in Naval Investigative Service. From a young age she was encouraged by her grandparent and grandmother to pursue a career in drawing, painting and architecture.
