Britney Jean Spears

Britney Jean Spears was born the 2nd of December, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi & raised in Kentwood, Louisiana. Britney was a dancer as a child and was a winner of numerous competitions in gymnastics. But, most of all, Britney loved to sing. When she was just eight, Britney was a contestant in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989) but was refused due to her age. Britney was later recommended to Broadway's off-Broadway musical "Ruthless" in which she played the title role for 2 years. She was back in The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989), this time , as a mouseketeer. However, her most notable break occurred in the mid-90s when she was signed as Jive Recording Artist. Britney's debut album, "...Baby, was released in 1999. Britney also sold 9 million copies (as as of July 1, 2001) of her second album "Oops !...I Do It Again" that was released in May 2000. Britney was the daughter of Lynne Spears & Jamie Spears and has a big brother, Bryan Spears & a little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears. From a young age, Britney was always fixing to be a star with idols such as Madonna, Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston, the young Britney could be heard singing no matter what else was going on around her. Britney auditioned for The All New Mickey Mouse Club (1989-1994) at the age of was eight. But, she was not old enough to be considered a suitable candidate. Britney moved to New York with her mother and baby sibling. She appeared in a variety of TV advertisements and also served as the understudy of Natalie Portman in "Ruthless" off-Broadway. She discovered her love of music and dance two years later, when she auditioned for the role of "Mickey Mouse" and was able to win the role alongside Justin Timberlake and Christina Aguilera.
