Allyson Felix

Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18, 1985 in Los Angeles. Paul Felix, the father of Allyson Michelle Felix is a minister who was ordained by Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix works as a elementary school teacher at Balboa Magnet. Felix realized early on that she had an aptitude to run when she was a student at Los Angeles Baptist High School. After her first audition she was ranked in the top two at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships in the 200 meters in just 10 weeks. Felix finished her high school year in 2003 and was signed by Adidas an agreement as a professional athlete. In the following year, she enrolled at the University of Southern California studying elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200 meters in 22.18s, setting an all-time junior world record. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for running 200m. In 2007, she defended her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix competed in her first Olympics at Beijing London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo regularly placing in the top three places in all her competitions.
