Annie Wersching Bio

Annie Wersching, born March 28 1977, is an American actor best well-known for her character in 24 and for the voice work that she provided for Tess in the video game The Last of Us. Wersching was born in St. Louis, Missouri and was raised there. She attended the high school of Crossroads College Preparatory School in the Central West End of St. Louis where she graduated in 1995. In her early years, she was a competitive Irish dancer and part of the St. Louis Celtic stepdancers. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in musical theatre from Millikin University, graduating in 1999. Wersching started her acting career by appearing as an extra on Star Trek: Enterprise. She then went on to play guest roles on shows such as Charmed, Killer Instinct and Supernatural. From March through November 2007, she played the recurring role of Amelia Joffe on the ABC Daytime soap show General Hospital. She has also performed in theaters such as Victory Gardens and Marriott Lincolnshire. She also appeared as a regular in the series of the Amazon Prime crime-show Bosch in 2014. Wersching played the National League's catcher in 2009's Taco Bell All-Star Legends and Celebrity Softball Game. In December 2012, it was discovered that Wersching was the voice actor as well as the mo-cap actor Tess in the PlayStation 3 exclusive The Last of Us. Geoff Keighley teased her character on Twitter before she was revealed in the Spike Video Game Awards story trailer on December 7th 2012. Wersching was set to take on the part of the Borg Queen on Star Trek: Picard in September 2021.
