Big Time Rush
Big Time Rush is an American boy group
that is specialized in the field of pop. The band was founded in 2009. The
group is made up of Kendall Schmidt and James Maslow along with Logan Henderson
and Carlos PenaVega. In 2009, they signed with Nick Records before moving to
Columbia Records. They appeared on Nickelodeon's television show, Big Time
Rush. From November 28, 2009 until July 25 2013 the show was on air. The pilot
episode included "Big Time Rush" the group's first single for
promotion. The group released three studio albums: BTR in 2010 and Elevate
(2011) as well as 24/Seven (2013). In 2014, the group went on a break
indefinitely which lasted until 2021. The group then returned to live shows and
then released "Call It Like I See The Album". Nickelodeon has signed
Big Time Rush to an album deal in 2009 in conjunction with its television show,
Big Time Rush. Nickelodeon later partnered with Columbia/Epic Label Group in
order to develop the show and to provide music that was original to the series.
The first single from the group, "Big Time Rush" was released on the
show on November 29th, 2009. The announcement was made by Nickelodeon in
November 2009, the show was aired for the first time in the US. The song was
later released internationally. The song was played in an introduction to the
series for an hour, and it is the show's opener. Promo singles like "City
is Ours", "Any Kind of Guy" and many more were released during
the show. Big Time Rush performed "Famous" by Play. The song first
came out on iTunes on June 29th in 2010. Following its series premiere the
second song, "Halfway There", was released on iTunes on April 27 the
27th of April, 2010. The band soon became their first chart-topping song on the
Billboard Hot 100. It was ranked 93 due to the digital sales. To celebrate the
release of their debut album, Big Time Rush released "Till I Forget About
You" on the 21st of September 2010. On the 11th of October, 2010 the
album, dubbed BTR released to the general public. The album peaked at number 3
on the Billboard 200 and sold 67,000 copies in its first week.
