Evan Rachel Wood was conceived in Raleigh, North Carolina on September 7th, 1987. Her father, Ira David Wood III is a theatre writer and actor, while her mother, Sara Wood is an actress and acting coach. There are two older brothers, Dana Wood, a musician, and Ira David Wood IV, who also has acted. Evan and her brothers often appeared at Theatre In The Park in Raleigh. Her father started the theater and serves as its director-executive. After a lengthy audition when she was just five years old, she old when she was able to screen-test with Kirsten Dunst. Along with her mom and brother Ira the family moved to Los Angeles in 1996. Since her arrival, she has had successes in TV series, movies on TV, as well as feature films.
